YSI and the Global Poverty Project

The YSI Utrecht team attended the talk “1.4 Billion Reasons” today at the Hogeschool Utrecht.

It was a talk given by Hugh Evans the founder and director of the global poverty project. Since we went to Ghana our minds have opened up to issues like poverty, these are issues that affect the whole world, even if we have food and a house. Hugh spoke with a lot of passion and his determination to improve things was a testament to the personal experiences that he shared with us of his time in countries where global poverty was a big problem.

It certainly reminded me of our time in Ghana, and for myself was a really interesting and inspiring morning.
